Photography

I've always been very interested in photography and am currently using a Nikon D40. This is a very flexible all-round DSLR - Ken Rockwell has a great page on it - http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40.htm. The colour and sharpness of the resulting pictures is incredible for the money. Regarding subjects I currently like Equine (mainly due to the recent horsey addition to the family) and wildlife photography. Equine photography is all about the timing, taking the shot as the horse takes off to get a great looking action shot as it jumps the fence. I've also had a go at Roller Hockey photography but the poor lighting in most Sports Halls and the inability to use flash make that a real nightmare. This sort of photography really needs a camera that is a lot more light sensitive than the D40 are a special flash that is very fast so that the players aren't disturbed by the flash.
