Introductions

I'm a middle-aged tech-head (ok ok nearly 50, is that still middle-aged?) living near Cambridge with my wife and family.

I've been a tech-head since my apprenticeship with BT back in 1980. I've worked in many areas of data and voice communications. Also had a fair bit of experience with data-centres and webservers etc.

I currently own a small Data and Voice Networking business called L3n Ltd with my business partner which is now in its 10th year so something must be going right. The offices are just down the road to my home (one of the many advantages of owning your own business).

My wonderful wife is very supportive of my business endeavours despite the fact that she has a far better business head than I do. I'm sure she would make us both rich in in any business she started but two small businesses in a family is too much risk, unfortunately.

I have three fanastic children, my eldest daughter just passed a 21 degree in Psychology and has been offered as job as a Psychologist at Broadmoor Hospital (wow!). My son has just passed his A levels with A* A A B in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing - he's been offered a job with a large Consulting company in Cambridge for a year after which he hopes to start his degree in Engineering at Cambridge Uni. My youngest daughter has just started doing British Eventing on her own horse - who knows where that will lead (Olympics 2016??). Fantastic prospects for all three children. I'm so proud of all of them.

Any way, why this website well.. anyone sensible these days of econonomic instability makes sure they have a 'few irons in the fire' with regard to work so I'm starting another embryonic business which offers my services which are a little outside of those needed for L3n. However, this site isnt just about my services, it's also about me, my life and so on (stop yawning).
